  4. Metal can be found almost anywhere in and near a home. Some of it is hidden in the walls like pipes, wires and ducts; other metal is more visible, including appliances, doors and window frames. Some of the more common metals are aluminum, brass, bronze, copper, lead, stainless steel, steel and iron, tin and all of these are recyclable. We even take large items like Heavy Machinery & Shipping Containers.

  21. Nothing, Garden Street handles the decommissioning of the vehicle. We drain all fluids; we remove Freon, mercury, switches, and tires. Just make sure to remove any and all personal items and keep your license plate.

  22. If you have the title please bring it along with the vehicle. If you don't have the title or it is lost we still can buy the vehicle, it must be at least 10 years old and it cannot have a lien of less than 3 years old. We will have you sign a derelict motor vehicle application form, turn the form into the state, and the state will cancel you title.

  23. Florida law allows recyclers and salvage dealers to pay the registered owner(owner of record)cash. Anyone other than the registered owner must be paid by check.

  26. Having the title transferred into your name is done by the state and makes you the registered owner. When you sign the title over to someone, you sign the title as the seller, and the buyer signs the title as the purchaser. Use caution; this does not relieve the seller of any liability for a vehicle. The registered owner (owner of record)is responsible and liable for a vehicle until it is transferred into another name by the state, or sold to a licensed recycler like Garden Street Iron and Metal.
